server outage tonight

This night I got a partial server outage, which is caused by the web server on meteoplug.com going down. As apache is used for this, which is regarded being rock solid, I still don't have an explanation why this happened.

However, I restarted apache right now and services are up an running again. As your meteoplug clients do buffer data,
when server cannot be reached, I don't expect that any bit of your weather data which has not been transferred this nicht will be lost.
Please give meteoplug an hour or so, and all your data should look fine again, like nothing has ever happened...

I am sorry for any inconvenience, and will further inspect the root causes.

This time it was an application error that moved around the user directories.
I could fix it in 30 minutes after getting notice of it and removde the bug in the application code.

It now reloads complete set of raw data from about 1000 clients and reprocesses a few days of
logged raw data (up to 300.000 data sets for each) for all of these.

It will take a few hours, then I expect operation will be back to normal.

EDIT: It is back to normal operation.

Hi Boris,
The WebAdmin interface is still off. Is that planned?
the following message appears:
Sorry! Meteoplug web-admin interface is disabled for maintenance purposes.
Pleasse try again later and check at http://forum-meteoplug.com in section "General Server Topics" if it is a pre-scheduled outage with a planned date for going back to normal operation.

Best Regards
Frank
