or timeframes from now back to a certain amount, but not on today last year.

What I can see in the HTML generated by your definition is that there are comments in the chart definition.

Please don't use comments in the paragraph below a widget definition as that is directly handed over
to the rendering engine which might get stuck at unexpected comments.

What mac does your system show on system info page?

@carlo: Just change texts in the live data display definitions to German and store the result a name of your liking. So there is no language switch, but you can directly change the "source".
