Hi all,
I've just setup my first meteoplug based weather station for my father in Victoria Australia:
http://www.kanivaweather.com
I currently run two weather websites of my own in the UK (http://www.fifeweather.co.uk and a mobile weather lab: http://www.weatherevents.net). I must say, I was really impressed with how easy it was to setup a weather website based on a bifferboard/meteoplug combination. So many thanks to Boris for creating such a great system!
I had a query regarding the uploading of data to the MetOffice WOW site. Having written PHP code myself to submit data from fifeweather, I know that MetOffice WOW expect to receive station pressure rather than MSL/ASL pressure, as they add their own adjustment for ASL. However it appears that meteoplug is submitting the ASL calculated value instead. This means that the MetOffice WOW site then adds it's own calculation, making the pressure level far too high as the adjustment is effectively being added twice.
I have worked around this by setting my station altutide to 0m in the MetOffice WOW setup panel, which then prevents it from adding further ASL adjustment.
I just wondered if it was possible for meteoplug to feed the un-adjusted station-pressure to WOW rather than the ASL adjusted value?
Many thanks and kind regards,
Graham
MetOffice WOW - Station vs. ASL pressure
Re: MetOffice WOW - Station vs. ASL pressure
Thanks, will be fixed with next update. MetOffice is not clear in it's docu, if they expect station pressure or sealevel. As most weather networks expect sealevel I did choose that.
