Wind dir text instead of °

I want to have the wind dir ine text instead of °, how i can do that ?

Since this moment lasts a few years, there seems to be no more hope for this feature?

I am also not able to adjust the grid to something usable like 0°,90°,180°,270° as workaround, but maybe somebody could manage this?
